LEE COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT TEAM MONITORING HURRICANE IAN

LEE COUNTY, NC — September 28, 2022 — The Lee County Emergency Management Team has been monitoring Hurricane Ian since its start and preparing for the possibility of an impact to Lee County.

Members of the team met with County Leadership this morning to consider recommendations on immediate actions.  Outside of normal preparations, Emergency Management is not asking citizens to take additional action.  At this time, Emergency Management will continue to monitor for hazards and carry out appropriate actions.  Lee County citizens should continue to monitor the storm and pay attention to information releases from Lee County Emergency Management. 

The public will be notified of potential threats, actions or services by the following means:

  • Lee County Emergency Services Facebook page
  • Lee County CodeRED public safety alerts
  • Local news outlets
