LEE COUNTY GOVERNMENT PROVIDES AT HOME COVID-19 TEST KITS AND FACE MASKS

LEE COUNTY, NC – October 12, 2023 –The Lee County Health Department is providing a limited supply of at home COVID-19 rapid test kits and face masks. The test kits and masks can be picked up on the first floor of the Lee County Government Center, located at 106 Hillcrest Drive in Sanford starting Monday, October 16th from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.  We will continue to provide these resources daily at the address and time mentioned while supplies last.

Pick up criteria includes:

  • A limit of 2 COVID-19 test kits per person.
  • A limit of 3 COVID-19 masks per person.

Symptomatic residents should wear a mask upon entering the building.

Individuals who have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 should test on day 6 post- exposure unless they become symptomatic; then they should test immediately.  If you have a positive test, a 5-day quarantine should take place with quarantine discontinuing once you are 24-hours symptom-free after the 5-day quarantine period.
