Q. What are the hours for the library?
A. The main library is open Monday- Thursday from 9 am - 9 pm, Friday and Saturday from 9 am - 6 pm, and Sunday from 2 pm - 6 pm.
Q. How long can I check out videos?
A. Video are checked out for seven days and cannot be renewed.
Q. What information do I need to get a Lee County Library Card?
A. We need a picture ID with your current address, or a picture ID and proof of address.
Q. How old do you have to be to get a library card?
A. Patrons must be six years old to get their own library card. If they are under sixteen they need to have a parent with them.
Q. I'm Sixteen. What do I need to get a Library Card?
A. Patrons that are sixteen need to have a North Carolina driver’s license or North Carolina I.D. present when requesting a library card. If your I.D. does not have your current address on it please bring a piece of mail with your address on it.
Q. I live in Chatham County. Can I get a Lee County Library card?
A. Yes, we provide free library cards to patrons that live in bordering counties.
Q. How old does a patron have to be to use the public Internet computers by
themselves?
A. Youth eleven years old and younger must be accompanied by a parent to use the public access computers. Youth ages 12-17 need to have an approval card signed by a parent at the front desk to use the public computers. This is a one-time process allowing the parents to decide if they want their children to have access to the Internet.
Q. I am from out of town. What do I need to access the libraries public access
computers?
A. We allow out of town visitors to use our public computers. We need a picture ID and then we will provide you with a guest pass.
Q. How long can a person use a public access computer at the library?
A. You are allowed three thirty minute sessions, totaling ninety minutes a day. Staff can extend your time if you are taking an online test or doing research for school.
Q. Does the library have wireless internet access?
A. Yes, but only at the main library during business hours. Stop by the front desk to pick up login information.
Q. Does the library have a color printer for patrons?
A. Yes, color computer print outs are 25 cents per page, while black and white pages are 10 cents per page. Be sure to select "color" or "black and white" before confirming your print job.
