Lee County Library

A Note to our Jonesboro Patrons:
The Jonesboro Branch of the Lee County Library has been closed effective July 1, 2011. If you have materials that you had on hold at the Jonesboro branch, you will have to pick them up at the Main branch on Hawkins Ave. When requesting books online, please do not request a Jonesboro branch pickup because that will not be possible.

The Lee County Library operates two libraries, with the main collection at the Suzanne Reeves Library, located in downtown Sanford at 107 Hawkins Avenue, near its intersection with Carthage Street. A branch library is located at 206 South Main Street in Broadway.
HIGHLIGHTED SERVICES
The library catalog is now online and can be accessed at home. Patrons can search for books, review their account and place holds at home.
The main library building at 107 Hawkins Avenue now provides wireless access (WiFi hotspot) to the Internet. Ask at the front desk for login information. This service is only available during business hours.
A Spanish collection is now on display at the Main Library.
HIGHLIGHTED SERVICE: Interlibrary Loan
Did you ever want to read a book that the local library did not have? Interlibrary loan is a program where libraries can borrow books from other libraries for patrons. For example, this is a great way to read books by your favorite author that our library does not have. There is a charge of $2.00 per book for this service to defer costs of postage and handling. Call 718-4665, ext. 5486, if you wish to make a request over the phone. (more information in "Library Services" below)
