Mission Statement:
To provide the equitable and fair assessment, levy and collection of all taxable property while maintaining quality data and providing excellent customer service.

Department Overview:
The Tax Department is responsible for listing, appraising and assessing all real estate, personal property and Registered Motor Vehicles within Lee County. We are also responsible for collecting all current and delinquent taxes on all real and personal properties. In addition to property tax, the department also collects Rental Vehicle Tax, Room Occupancy Tax, Beer & Wine Licensing and issues Mobile Home moving permits. For more information about property tax in North Carolina click on http://www.dornc.com/taxes/property/index.html

If you are unable to locate a bill through MUNIS Self Service, request an account balance through email by clicking the image below.  Response times will vary.
