FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions)Q. What are the hours for the library and how long can I check out videos? A. These questions are answered on our Library Information and Policies page.
Q. What information do I need to get a Lee County Library Card? A. We need a picture ID with your current address, or a picture ID and a letter mailed to your current address.
Q. How old do you have to be to get a library card? A. Patrons must be six years old to get their own library card. They need to have a parent with them to get their card, unless they have a North Carolina driver’s license or North Carolina I.D.
Q. I live in Chatham County. Can I get a Lee County Library card? A. Yes, we provide free library cards to patrons who live in the counties that border Lee County.
Q. How old does a patron have to be to use the public Internet computers by themselves? A. Youth eleven years old and younger must be accompanied by a parent to use the public access computers. Youth ages 12-17 need to have an approval card signed by a parent at the front desk to use the public computers. This is a one-time process allowing the parents to decide if they want their children to have access to the Internet.
Q. I am from out of town. What do I need to access the libraries public access computers? A. We allow out of town visitors to use our public computers. We need a picture ID that we will hold while you use the computer.
Q. How long can a person use a public access computer at the library? A. You are allowed at least 30 minutes, but if no one is waiting you can continue using the computer until another patron needs it.
Q. Does the library have wireless internet access? A. Yes, but only at the main library during business hours. Stop by the front desk to pick up login information.
Q. Does the library have a color printer for patrons? A. No, the printer is black and white only, and printouts are ten cents a page.
