RECREATION TINY TOTSTiny Tots is a preparatory program that promotes social and recreational interaction between children ages 3-5 years old. Your child will learn to listen, recall, follow directions, practice newly acquired skills and solve problems. Age appropriate activities will be offered in academics, language development and physical development. Please be sure that your child is toilet trained before enrolling them into the program. This can be achieved by participating in fun activities with your child. and engaging in family fitness fun. Children’s Dance Class The Children’s Dance program is designed to offer a supervised and structured recreational environment that promotes diversity through several types of dance. This program offers instruction in ballet, tap, and basic tumbling. Weekly one-hour classes are offered. Happy Day CampHappy Day Camp is designed to involve individuals with special needs in recreational activities. One-week sessions are held for different age groups. During camp participants have the opportunity to interact with their peers through activities such as arts and crafts, nature studies, boating, swimming and special field trips. Being part of Happy Day Camp will help to increase ones self-esteem and confidence. Program Dates: June 16-July 14, 2008 No camp week of July 4th Program Location: San-Lee Park Yoga This class offers a relaxed and comfortable environment that enables the participants to engage in a form of exercise that brings the mind and body together as one. Yoga is designed to produce a clear, bright mind and a strong, capable body. This class will help to increase the body’s total health. Anyone 14 years old and older is welcome to participate.

We also hope to decrease the amount of workdays missed due to sickness and injury and to increase the interaction among county employees. CLEW ACTIVITIES ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC BASED ON AVAILABILITY! Low Impact Aerobics Classes Classes are offered every Monday and Wednesday at 5:15-6:15 at the Lee County Enrichment Center. Water Aerobics Classes are offered every Monday and Wednesday at 5:50-6:30 at OT Sloan Pool, during the months of June, July, and August. For more information or to register please contact Lee County Parks and Recreation. Disc GolfAn 18-hole disc golf course is located at O.T. Sloan Park. There is no charge to play the course except during tournaments. There is a local Lee County Disc Golf Association that conducts tournaments during much of the year. On Mondays, there is a mixed doubles tournament beginning at 6 p.m. during the year when there is enough daylight usually April-September. A singles tournament is held the 2nd Saturday each month with registrations beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Rotary Club Shelter by the tennis courts. Cost for tournaments range from $3-$5 depending upon the classification of the participant. Classifications range from novice to pro. For more information, contact Chuck at (919)718-0850. Lee County Senior GamesThis program gives senior adults 55 and older the opportunity to interact on a recreational and social level. The participants have the chance to compete in “Olympic” type sporting events as well as heritage, visual and literary art events. Senior games begin and end with spectacular ceremonies to introduce the games and reward the participant’s for their efforts. After winning locally, participants are given the opportunity to compete statewide.
