Effective July 1, 2007 John A. Crumpton will join Lee County as County Manager.  John holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from Indiana University, a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
John is currently the County Manager of Scotland County. Throughout his career he has held the positions of Marketing Representative for the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners, General Manager of Republic Services of North Carolina, General Manager of ARS, Town Manager of Morrisville, Town Manager of Emerald Isle, Town Manager of Elizabethtown and Finance Director of Lee County. John and his wife Katherine have four children, Andrew, age 19, Meg, age 15, and twins Michael and Molly, age 9. The family is very excited about the move to Lee County. John will be in and out of the County offices over the next several weeks, please feel free to welcome him and answer any questions that he may have.
