Telecommunication Services includes all support systems for voice communications at Lee County Government. Work involves management of a physical trunking Mitel system as well as multi-node virtual gateway VoIP platform with centralized virtual enterprise voicemail. All county telephones reside on the VoIP platform. The IT Department supports digital/analog switching mechanisms, user headsets, dial tone management, call flow and routing, DIDs, greetings, extension add/moves/changes, and billing maintenance. The telephony platform includes as many as 600 VoIP telephones with digital and analog fax solution support as well.
