Public Health Reports

The Lee County Health Department completes a formal report known as a Community Health Assessment (CHA) at least every four years, as required by North Carolina DHHS Local Health Department Accreditation. The CHA Report informs the Health Department and many other local partner’s efforts in promoting health across Lee County. The report contains data and information on current health priorities, disparities, and general demographics, while providing context on progress since the previous CHA. Current health priorities include mental health and substance use support, healthy eating and active living, and social determinants of health as revealed through the community assessment process.  The most recent Community Health Assessment can be found here.

In interim, the County also produces a separate formal report known as the State of the County Health (SOTCH) Report and is produced for every year that a CHA is not published. This report serves as a progress report since the last CHA published, initiatives surrounding community health improvement plans, and highlights a variety of community partnership and collaboration. The most recent SOTCH report for the year 2021 can be found here
