Mission Statement

The mission of the Lee County Human Resources is to attract, develop, and retain competent, knowledgeable and motivated employees.

Overview

It is the policy of Lee County to maintain a systematic, consistent recruitment program, to promote equal employment opportunities, and to identify and attract the most qualified applicants for employment with the county. All positions open to outside applicants will be posted with the NC Employment Security Commission, the Sanford Daily Herald and at the Lee County Human Resources Office. Occasionally, as needed, other sources are used as well. Selection decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, political affiliation, non-disqualifying disability, or age.
